On Blue School Day 2023, we united the Blue School community in a shared action for the Ocean. Schools, students, teachers, families, partner entities and local communities: everyone was invited to take part.
This challenge was chosen by Blue School students, in a voting process that garnered more than 4100 votes. Our students decided to show their ability to act collectively. The challenge was to get each school to organize a beach cleanup by mobilizing the local community. In the end, Blue Schools were able to involve close to 10 000 people, in an inspirational showing of unit and commitment. On a single day, 3,5 tons of litter were collected from our beaches.
