Joana Pratas

Joana Pratas is an olympic sailor who competed in three Olympic Games: Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004. First Portuguese woman to participate in the Olympics on a sailboat.

"It is my great pleasure to be a Blue School Ambassador since October 2018. This educational programme plays an essential role in the development of Ocean Literacy and in bringing new generations closer to the Ocean."

 

Eugénia Barroca

Marine biologist who has played an active role in several national and international environmental volunteering projects. Focusing her action on science communication, Eugénia has organized events such as beach cleaning, lectures, debates and art exhibitions, in order to engage communities for the Ocean’s sustainability. She is a consultant and Portuguese Language Representative for the Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA), responsible for increasing the community of young Ocean leaders in Portuguese-speaking countries.
