Escola Azul supported LPN - Liga para a Proteção da Natureza and Coca-Cola EuroPacific Partners for the launch of the new edition of the “Mares Circulares nas Escolas” Contest, aimed at students from the 7th to 12th grade.
This contest awarded school projects that promote the reduction of marine litter or that encourage a circular economy in the society.
One of the winning schools was a Blue School: Escola Secundária de Vagos, with the project "Our Mission” by the students Luís Almeida and Tomás Amaral. The other winning project was called "Bye Bye Plastic", and was developed by students from the Escola Secundária da Maia: Mariana Rocha, Paulo Saavedra and Sofia Barros.
Winning schools received a 500€ prize.
