Blue School PT once again partners with Hidroval and Pavilhão da Água for the launch of the 3rd edition of the “Only One Water" Illustration Contest.
This year's contest is all about the theme of “Water Footprint”. Until November 12th, each Blue School will be able to submit a maximum of 3 illustrations for the competition, using the form available at www.hidroval.pt/lp_agua-so-ha-uma_2025.
All illustrations submitted will be integrated into an exhibition at the Pavilhão da Água (Porto). Of these, 25 will be selected to be part of Hidroval's corporate calendar. The 3 best illustrations will also receive an award.
The third edition of the illustration contest "Only One Water" invites students to reflect on water footprint through art and creativity, encouraging the change of habits and the regeneration of the planet based on scientific and technological knowledge.
The water footprint theme aims to explore how our consumption habits impact the planet's water resources. It emphasizes the urgency of using current knowledge to modify behaviors, promote sustainability and avoid irreversible damage to the environment.
We use water every day. We drink, take showers, wash clothes and dishes… But water is also in the manufacturing/production process of all the products we consume: food, clothes, shoes, electronic devices, etc. The water footprint tells us how much water is actually used to produce all these products. We all also have a personal water footprint, which is related to what we eat, buy and use.
