In 2026, Blue School – Escola Azul PT will select an Anthem and a Mascot. On Blue School Day - May 19, 2026 - we challenge each Blue School to organize a special event to present our new Anthem and Mascot.
This will be a process with different stages, and we have created two challenges: one to choose the Blue School Anthem and another to select the Blue School Mascot.
The challenge was launched, the Blue Schools responded creatively, and by the deadline of March 20th, we received a total of 89 anthem proposals and 141 mascot proposals.
After analyzing all the proposed anthems, the jury selected three finalists.
The voting took place between April 12th and 19th, with strong participation throughout the network. Through the incredible mobilization of students, teachers, families, and partners, more than 3700 votes were gathered to choose the song that will represent the entire Escola Azul community.
The winning anthem – with 47.6% of the votes – was written by the students and teachers of the 3rd grade of the Escola Básica do 1.º ciclo da Golegã.
The anthem proposals from the Centro de Aprendizagem e Formação Escolar de Baucau (Timor-Leste) and the Colégio Papião (Cascais) obtained 34.1% and 18.3% of the votes, respectively.
Choosing the mascot proved to be quite a difficult task, and from over a hundred special characters presented, the chosen design was the one created by the students from the Multimedia Course of the Escola Profissional da Campanhã.
