Did you know that only 3% of the Ocean is protected? And that we need 30% by 2030 to ensure a sustainable future?
The Mini 30x30 Challenge gives a voice to students around the world to advocate for a greater protection of the Ocean while learning about Marine Protected Areas.
Escola Azul is one of several entities that supports this challenge that was created by the Oceano Azul Foundation / Oceanário de Lisboa.
Through the website www.students4ocean.com, teachers will have access to several educational resources and will be able to vote with their students (until the end of April) on what they consider to be the greatest benefits of Marine Protected Areas.
The Mini 30x30 Challenge Open is targeted at students from Pre-School to High School and aims to create a global movement that encourages UN Member States to commit to protect 30% of the Ocean by 2030. Join the movement and help protect the future of the Ocean.
